About the artist: Yamerota Meskel, Yami, is a gifted artisan living in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Yami's distinct gift for art and design is seen in each piece of her hand-hewn, leather goods. Yami purchases locally hand-dyed leathers and constructs necklaces, cuffs, bracelets, belts, headbands, and clutches while working from her humble living room floor. LoPa is a micro-enterprise and offers Yami's one-of-a-kind leather pieces to provide a platform for her success and to help feed needy people of Korah in Addis, Ababa, Ethiopia.
